Day by day itinerary:

DAY 1, Belgrad (Serbia)

Welcome to Belgrad. Situated on the Balkan Peninsula in South-Eastern Europe at the confluence of Sava and Danube rivers,  Belgrad is one of the oldest cities in Europe. Transfer from airport Nikola Tesla to your accommodation in the capital city of Serbia. Briefing.


DAY 2, Belgrad –Viminacijum – Đerdapska Klisura – Rajačke

Morning ride to Viminacijum, an old roman city, the former base camp of Legio VII Claudia and more recently the place where a 1,5 million year old mammoth skeleton was uncovered.  Next stop is Đerdapska Klisura, a national park also known as the Iron’s Gates Gorge situated in the heart of Eastern Serbia. The powerful Danube River offers the visitor an incredible landscape. Accommodation in Rajačke Village famous for the wine cellars Pimnice.

 

DAY 3, Rajačke – Gamzigrad – Aranđelovac

Ride next to Gamzigrad, archaeological site and spa resort in Serbia, located south of the Danube River. Next stop is Manasija Monastery, built near the city of Despotovac. Surrounded by massive walls and towers, the monastery was founded by Despot Stefan Lazarevic, erected and painted in the 15th century. Find out some of the secrets hidden by the walls of the monastery and ride to Aranđelovac. Accommodate and enjoy dinner at the Hunter House on Bukulja.

 

DAY 4, Aranđelovac – Povlen – Tara – Mokra Gora – Mećavnik

Today you will enjoy breathtaking sceneries and winding roads while riding trough Povlen Mountain. Dense forests and deep river canyons will take you to Maljen Mountain, well known for its gentle slopes and colorful meadows. Located near Bosnia-Herzegovina border, Mokra Gora village is famous for its spectacular Šargan Eight Railway. Designed in a figure eight loop, in the early 1900’s a team of engineers managed to work around the steep cuttings and narrow gorges to create this beautiful section of railway. Ride next to Mećavnik, an ethno village, established by famous Serbian film director Emir Kusturica. This interesting town consists of wooden houses, preserving the authenticity of the area. DAY 5 Mokra Gora – Visegrad (Bosnia) – Bilecko Jezero – Trebinje (Herzegovina) – Herceg Novi (Montenegro)

Situated along Drina River, Visegrad town is famous for the Bridge on Drina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built in 16th century by an Ottoman grand vizier. Ride along Bilecko Jezero (Bileca Lake) to Trebinje, an old town situated on the banks of the Trebisnjica River flowing through the heart of the city. The area is famous for the old mills – a symbol of Herzegovina’s past. Accommodation in Herceg Novi, an incredible city situated at the entrance of Boka Kotorska (Kotor Bay) – a UNESCO World heritage Site and one of the most beautiful bays in the world.

DAY 6, Herceg Novi – Cetinje – Žabljak

Morning ride to Cetinje. Founded in 15th century the city is surrounded by limestone mountains, including Lovćen Mountain (the Black Mountain) from which Montenegro gets its name.  Ride across Durmitor Mountain to reach Žabljak – the highest urban conglomerate in the Balkans. The city is surrounded by beautiful lakes, high mountains and the deepest canyon in Europe – The Canyon of Tatra River.
Optional: enjoy a half day rafting program on Tara River.



DAY 7, Žabljak – Zlatar – Zlatibor – Sirogojno

Incredible landscapes for you today as you are riding trough one of the most beautiful mountains of Serbia, Zlatar, The Golden Mountain – famous for its homemade cheese assortments. Continue trough Zlatibor region also called The Golden Pine Trees Mountain due to the beautiful pine trees that grow in this area. Accommodation in the ethno village of Sirogojno. The village is known for its hand made woolen jumpers knitted by the peasant women that live here.

 

DAY 8, Sirogojno – Požega – Divčibare – Belgrade (Serbia)
Your last day in Serbia. Ride to Divcibare a famous tourist complex for alpinism. It was here that Prince Milos Obrenovic spent the summer vacation back in 1822. Arrive in Belgrade. With a lot of memories and surely some regrets say good bye to Belgrade.

Motorcycles are made in year 2008 and have Touratech aluminium suitcases and maximum BMW additions – safety packet and touring packet – handles’ heating, ABS, ASC, RDS, ESA…).

A cash deposit of € 1500 will be required for bike damage security or loss of accessories. The amount will be refunded at the end of the programme should the bike be returned on time, undamaged and with a full fuel tank.
Please note that the insurance does not cover damages made on the equipment (suitcases, top case and navigation).
