Day by day itinerary:


sofia bulgariaDAY 1, Sofia (Bulgaria)

Welcome to Bulgaria, the country where people shake their heads to mean yes and nod for no. You will be collected from Sofia Airport and transferred to your hotel in the capital city. Accommodation and briefing.






edirne-turkey DAY 2, Sofia (BG) – Edirne (TR) – Tekirdag
455 km - about 5hrs riding

Ride to Tekirdag, a harbor city and a preferred vacation place for inhabitants of Istanbul.
On  the way stop in Edirne and enjoy strolling the streets of this beautiful city. evening in Tekirdag on the Marmara Sea.








DAY 3, Tekirdag – Gallipoli – Anzac Cove – Canakkale
188 km - about 4hrs30min riding

Ride along Marmara Sea to Anzac Cove - a small cove on the Gallipoli peninsula. The ANZACs landed here during World War I. Cross Dardanelle Strait, separating Asian Turkey from European Turkey.
Spend the night in charming Canakkale.





DAY 4, Chanakale – Troy – Foca – Izmir
310 km – 5 h

The wooden horse used in the movie Troy is on display in Canakkale, but we are off to visit the real archaeological site of Troy – UNESCO World Heritage. Troy, with its 4,000 years of history, is one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world. Continue your journey to western Anatolia. Spend the night close to Aegean Sea in the city of Izmir.



ephesus-turkeyDAY 5, Izmir – Selcuk (Ephesus) - Didim
196 km – 3h10min

Morning ride to the Ancient City of Ephesus. Great monuments of the Roman Imperial period including the Library of Celsus and the Great Theatre can be found here. Remains of the famous Temple of Artemis, one of the “Seven Wonders of the World” attracts visitors all over the World. Evening in Didim.


 
DAY 6, Didim – Fethiye
243 km - about 4hrs riding

Cross Sakar Pass on your way to Amyntas Rock Tombs in Fethiye on the Aegean Sea. The ancient kings rock tombs are carved in the mountain wall at ancient Telmessos, Lycia. Spend the afternoon on the beach or take on the road bends leading to Butterfly Valley.
Evening in Fethiye.

300 km – about 4h30min riding

Ride Tahtali Mountain aka Lycian Olympus. Once in Side head to the ancient city. Riding the old roman road in the middle of the ancient site will give you the feeling that you are riding a time machine.  Side is situated on a small charming peninsula and offeres a visit to the Greek Theatre and the famous Apollon Temple.


 





DAY 8, Side – Konya – Goreme, Cappadocia
458 km - about 6hrs10min riding

The city of Konya is the city of the famous Whirling Dervishes. Visit Mevlana Museum and continue riding to Cappadocia. The view changes by the minute. The region is characterized by fairy chimneys and a unique historical and cultural heritage. Accommodation in Goreme.

Enjoy a rest day in Cappadocia. Seeing the region from above during a hot Air Baloon Ride will surely impress you. If you fear the heights, you can go underground - visit the troglodyte cave-cities. There are 36 underground cities in Cappadocia and the widest one is Kaymakli underground city. Spend the night in Goreme.
DAY 10, Goreme - Ankara
291 km – 3h30min

Ride to Ankara, Turkey's second largest city after Istanbul. Ankara became the new Turkish capital upon the establishment of the Republic on 1923. Anıtkabir, the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in Ankara, is visited by large crowds every year during national holidays. Accommodation in Ankara.



zonguldakDAY 11, Ankara – Inebolu – Doganyurt
370 km - 5hrs20min

From the Central Anatolia the roads take you to the Black Sea. Ride the twists and turns of the black sea coast to the fishermen city of Doganyurt. Watching the fishermen in action in the morning is an authentic experience. The Black Sea Coast will reward you with incredible riding and fantastic views.





DAY 12, Doganyurt – Amasra – Eregli
290 km - about 5hrs36min riding

Continue the Dragon Road of the Black Sea Coast to Amasra. Hundreds of road bends and tunnels will spice up the ride.There are so many twists and turns that you feel you lean even while sleeping. The fabulous views complete the picturesque landscape. Evening in Eregli.



DAY 13, Eregli – Sile – Istanbul
317 km - about 5hrs40min riding

The city of Sile is famous for its beautiful views over the Black Sea and its old lighthouse. The  fish market next to the castle walls is a fabulous experience.

DAY 14, Istanbul
Rest Day

Enjoy a rest day in one of the greatest cities in the World - Istanbul. Istanbul is a fascinating city built on two continents and divided by Bosphrus Strait. You can visit Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sofia Mosque or enjoy a boat ride.
Accommodation in Istanbul.

  


DAY 15, Istanbul (TR) – Burgas (BG)
325 km - about 5hrs10min riding

Continue your journey back to Bulgaria and the Resort of Burgas - one of the preferred summer vacation spots on the Black Sea Coast of Bulgaria. The Bulgarian Black Sea Coast welcomes you with wild beaches and impressive views. Evening in Burgas.

DAY 16, Burgas - Sofia
382 km - 3h41min riding

Ride back to the city of Sofia. Arrival at 02:00 PM. Situated at the center of the Balkan Peninsula, the city lies at the foot of Vitosha Mountain.
Transfer to the Airport for your flight back home.
